Capturing your baby as a newborn is an opportunity you will never get the chance to experience again. Creating memories of how tiny those fingers and toes really are is an ever lasting memory that will be cherished for generations throughout your babies life and beyond.

Early moments

Newborn photography is an unforgettable way to capture the fleeting moments when your baby is still so tiny, delicate, and new. These early days pass by so quickly, and being able to hold onto these memories with beautiful, timeless images is a gift that lasts a lifetime. My aim is to encapsulate those first heartwarming stretches, yawns, and peaceful dreams in a way that you’ll cherish forever.

Timing

The ideal time for a newborn session is within the first 21 days after birth. During this window, babies are generally sleepier and more comfortable in the gently curled poses that create those iconic, tender images. While it’s still possible to photograph your little one beyond this period, certain poses may be less achievable as babies start to grow more alert and love to stretch out. To secure your spot, it’s best to book your session during pregnancy to ensure availability.

Comfort

Each session is carefully planned with plenty of time set aside—up to three hours—to allow for feeding, changing, and all the snuggles that might be needed to keep your little one comfortable and content. I schedule only one newborn session per day so that each moment is unrushed, creating a stress-free environment for both you and your baby.

All sessions occur in my well-equipped studio, providing a cosy and safe environment.

Session fees cover studio time, access to props and outfits, and post-production editing. A package for images is added to your session fee.

I allow 3 hours for a newborn session, this is to allow time for feeding and settling baby.

I will provide most props, but personal items are welcome for added sentiment.

Please ensure you bring plenty of milk for your session and please over estimate. Please also bring a dummy even if you’re not planning on using one. These won’t be in any photos, but might assist in getting baby sleepy for posing.
Please note that the studio will be warm so baby is comfortable, this may be quite warm for you so please dress accordingly (layers, no knitted jumpers). Please also bring some water with you.

Yes, family members can be part of the session for no extra charge.
